TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

Please read these terms and conditions, as they are binding.

ALL – INCLUSIVE TOURS:

Trip to the Opera pricing is in Canadian Dollars and includes theatre tickets in Orchestra level seats, and guided sightseeing. At your request, we will assist you in planning your free-time activities, which comes with our personal knowledge of all the cities and sights. Meals are as listed in the day-by-day itinerary (B-Breakfast, L-Lunch, D-Dinner). Dinners (including wine) in many cases are offered a-la-carte or semi a-la-carte instead of a fixed menu.

GRATUITIES INCLUDED:

All customary gratuities for guides, porters, doormen, bus drivers and dining room servers are included for the services as listed herein or within the itinerary for any tour. Gratuities for personal requests or exceptional services rendered on behalf of a tour member are at the tour member’s discretion.

NOT INCLUDED:

Passport and visas; beverages other than wine, coffee and tea with meals; personal expenses such as phone calls, room service, alcoholic beverages, mineral waters, soft drinks, airline excess baggage charges, and other incidentals.

RESERVATIONS:

A deposit of $2,500 per person, is required to hold the reservation. This amount goes towards the immediate non-refundable costs of reserving the space. Due to the small size of our groups, there are no discretions to this policy. The full balance is due ninety (90) days prior to departure of the tour. Payments can be made through PayPal.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS:

Notice of cancellation must be in writing, signed and emailed to us. All cancellations of confirmed reservations prior to 90 days before departure are refundable less the amount of the $2,500 deposit. 70 days prior to departure, a cancellation charge will be assessed equal to 50% of the total amount. There will be no refund within 45 days of departure. We strongly recommend obtaining travel cancellation insurance, as there are no discretions to this policy.

CHANGES TO ITINERARIES:

Trip to the Opera reserves the right to cancel a tour, to modify the accommodations and/or itinerary, and to vary any of the other elements of the tour due to local conditions or as may be deemed reasonable and expedient by Trip to the Opera. In the event the tour is cancelled by Trip to the Opera, a full refund will be made. Trip to the Opera will have no liability beyond payment of a full refund upon cancellation.

TRAVEL INSURANCE IS RECOMMENDED:

We very strongly recommend all our clients to purchase standard travel insurance along with Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) coverage. Please make sure to investigate the cancellation details of the policy before purchasing. The terms and conditions may vary for different providers, so please be sure you check the details of any policy with any company you decide to sign up with. Trip to the Opera is not responsible or liable for any loss, damage or theft of personal property, including but not limited to luggage and/or personal belongings, or for personal injury, accident and/or illness. It is recommended for your own self-interest and protection that you have in place adequate insurance to cover these situations, as well as trip cancellation/interruption coverage.

RESPONSIBILITY:

Trip to the Opera shall be deemed to act only as a tour operator/organizer and shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, claim, expense or other loss of any nature including but not limited to those caused by or resulting from any vehicle or conveyance, or negligence of any company or of any person engaged in conveying the passengers or carrying out the operations or arrangements of the tour by local conditions, overbooking by hotels, delays, sickness, weather, strikes, war, quarantine, force majeure or any similar causes. Liability of Trip to the Opera shall in any case be limited to the amount paid to Trip to the Opera. The passenger tickets in use by the airlines, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and the purchaser and/or passenger, and the airlines concerned shall not be held liable for any act; omission or events occurring during the time passengers are not aboard the aircraft.
